Terms of Use (EULA)

Agreement

This End User License Agreement ("EULA", "Terms") is a legal agreement between you and LyteFast ("we", "us") for the SardinesFasting mobile application, the website at sardinesfasting.com, and any related services (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The app is licensed to you, not sold. We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes are announced in-app or on this page, and the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.

1. Educational use only — not medical advice

The Service is an educational, self-experimentation tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. You agree to consult a licensed clinician before starting any fasting protocol — and especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, underweight, have a history of an eating disorder, take medication (particularly for diabetes or blood pressure), or have a heart, kidney, liver or other chronic condition. 2. Subscriptions, auto-renewal and cancellation

The Service is free to download and includes a free tier. SardinesFasting Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered as a monthly plan (€4.99 / month) or an annual plan (€49 / year). Prices are shown in your local currency in the app and may vary by region. There is no free trial.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription automatically renews at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, in your device Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions at any time after purchase.
• Any unused portion of a free period, where offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store Terms and applicable law; we cannot issue App Store refunds directly.

3. Acceptable use

• Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape or attempt to extract source from the Service, except where this restriction is prohibited by law.
• Do not use the Service to provide medical advice to others.
• Do not impersonate, harass, defame or post unlawful content in the community feed. We may remove content and suspend access for violations.

4. User content and community

The community feed lets you post text. You are responsible for what you post and grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it within the Service. We moderate posts and may remove content that violates these Terms. Do not post personal medical data of others, spam, or unlawful material.

5. Intellectual property

All app code, copy, design, illustrations and the SardinesFasting name and logo belong to LyteFast. Scientific references cited in the app and on the website belong to their respective publishers; we link to them for educational purposes only.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or produce any particular health outcome.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LyteFast shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Termination

You may stop using and delete the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) survive.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence, disputes are submitted to the courts of Paris, France.

10. Apple standard terms

If you obtained the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard "Licensed Application End User License Agreement" also applies and, where it conflicts with this EULA, the more protective consumer term governs. Apple is not a party to this EULA and is not responsible for the app or its content; however, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA and may enforce it.
